C4 orders Crime Scene Cleaner
The series follows specialists in the UK and the US as they deal with the aftermath of often violent crimes
Channel 4 has ordered a new series from Crackit TV about specialist crime scene cleaners.
The 10 x 60’ show follows the experts – in the UK and the USA – as they attend the aftermath of assaults, murders, burglaries, arson attacks and drugs busts, clearing hazardous material and preparing the crime scenes to hand back to the public.
Elaine Hackett, CEO of Crackit TV, said: “This series offers rare access into the extraordinary lives of professional crime scene cleaners, who encounter people’s worst nightmares on a daily basis. We’re thrilled to be following these experts through dangerous and difficult situations and getting to know the incredible characters behind the hazmat suits.”
Rita Daniels, commissioning editor for documentaries and factual entertainment at Channel 4, added: “Crime Scene Cleaners pulls back the curtain on the vital work of these unsung heroes. It’s not just about cleaning up – it’s about helping people rebuild after trauma.
“We’re excited to bring this unique and compelling series to Channel 4, showcasing the incredible dedication and expertise of these professionals.” – Nia Daniels, The Knowledge Online
