Elaine Hackett
Founder, CEO and CCO

Elaine launched Crackit Productions in 2008 with a vision to create ground breaking television productions that would stimulate debate and generate headlines across the world. Under her command, Crackit has produced 100s of hours of award winning television shown across broadcasters and international boundaries including Send Nudes, Key to a Fortune, Casualty 24/7, Dirty Home Rescue, Trucking Hell, and Police After Dark.

Prior to setting up Crackit, Elaine has held positions on the board of Endemol UK and was Managing Director of Brighter Pictures, overseeing programmes such as Big Brother at the height of the hype surrounding the show. Elaine prides herself in taking the time to source and nurture the very best on and off screen talent and has long been an advocate and mentor of the disabilities and race scheme CDN.

Louisa Carbin
Managing Director

Louisa joined Crackit in 2008 having started her career within Channel 5 as well as working for the likes of the BBC, ITV, and SBS Television in Sydney.

Louisa has worked as a Production Manager on over 12 of Crackit’s productions including The Fat Fighters, Kym Marsh: Teen Mums and Me, and Countdown To Murder. Louisa now heads up the operations department to ensure the talent pool continues to grow and ideas continue to be realised.

Kerry Brierley
Creative Head - Crackit North

With almost 20 years of broadcast experience, Kerry’s strength as a documentary maker is to produce multi- layered films by finding the humour and warmth in everyday people.

She has a proven track record in securing and maintaining access to big businesses and institutions during some of the most stressful moments of people’s lives. Kerry has extensive experience in developing innovative programme ideas as well as the ability to highlight the most intriguing elements of nations and their relationship with each other.

Jon Connerty
Head of Popular Factual & Events

Jon is Crackit’s Head of Popular and Factual Formats having spent two-and-a-half years at Liberty Bell working on shows including ITV’s Sugar Free Farm, Nev’s Indian Call Centre for UKTV, and Russell Howard and Mum: USA Adventures for Comedy Central – among other broadcasters.

As well as coming up with great popular formats, Jon was also the executive producer behind The Call Centre series on BBC 3 and development executive behind Employable Me for BBC2, which won Best Factual Programme at the Edinburgh International Television Festival 2017.

Dan Gilbert
Head of Development

Dan is Crackit’s Head of Development. Prior to joining, Dan was Development Executive at Ricochet where he headed up the Development Department and had a hand in the creation of the Bafta Award Winning The Repair Shop for the BBC. As well as creating Britain’s Top Takeaways and Jay’s Yorkshire Workshop also for the BBC.

Dan has over 20+ years of experience in TV but in recent years, has primarily focussed on Development, with commissions that include: Kings of the Wood, The Woodland Workshop and The Great Antiques Challenge for Discovery,  Adrian Chiles: Alcohol and Me for the BBC, Food Unwrapped: Investigates for Channel 4 and Celebrity 5 Go and Inside Iceland for Channel 5.

Anna Boronat
Head of Production

Anna has been working in production management for over 20 years when she joined Crackit in 2023 as our Head of Production. Specialising in factual programming, her career highlights include MasterChef, My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding, The Repair Shop and Duran Duran: There’s Something You Should Know.

Anna ‘s experience and passion for programme making ensures production values and ambitions are maximised. She oversees Crackit’s team of talented Production Managers, promotes and helps implement a positive and diverse working environment and drives robust compliance and duty of care protocols.

Samuel Milletti
Personal Assistant

Sam joined Crackit in 2023 as our PA having previously worked for the BBC on Doctor Who and Strike: Troubled Blood as a Production Secretary.

Bringing his enthusiasm and passion to the role, Sam has relished joining the Crackit team and being able to grow and develop with us.

Sam has a BA in Film Production from The University for the Creative Arts.
